Training

Safe Haven (This is mandatory training for all volunteers that works with the children)

      Safe Haven--May 18, 7:00-9:00 pm at the Soccer Building (Blackfoot Soccer Complex). This class provides legal and AYSO policy information and is required for all volunteers. No preparation needed by attendees. We will be inside the Soccer Building, but weather outside can be cold, so be sure and bring a jacket. We will start on time and end on time.

Coach Training:

U6, U8, and U10 Coach Course--May 19, 0830 am-1230 pm. No preparation needed by attendees.  Materials and books will be provided to attendees. There will be some classroom time, but the majority of time is spent on the field.   Please dress appropriately to work the ball on the field, and wear appropriate shoes (not sandals or cowboy boots).  We also ask that attendees do not bring children to the class.

Referees and Coaches: The safety director and the RC should be at preseason meetings. They are at the meetings for:

• Explain the accident report form to the coaches and referees and all other safety procedures.
• Go over the injury reporting procedures. 
• Reemphasize the importance of each coach having the original, signed player registration form with them at all practices and games.
• Shin guards are mandatory
• Discuss blood borne diseases.
• SAI procedure for filing a claim with the insurance company.

Approved Practice Fields for Summer 2006 Season

Please be considerate of your fellow coaches. At this time we do not plan on assigning a particular field or times to a particular coach. If using fields other than the soccer complex across from the Mountain View Middle School or the city parks, you will need a letter of agreement and/or AYSO proof of insurance.
